Heavy menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, etc. might cause abnormal hormonal changes in your body leading to eyebrow hair loss. So if you follow the simple steps given below then you will definitely prevent your eyebrow hairs from shedding further. If you want to know then just keep on reading.
Use brow products carefully
Look at the ingredients of brow products that you use on daily basis. Use only good quality products. Also when you are applying them, do not use put too much pressure on your brows.
Increase intake of Vitamin B
Vitamin B includes riboflavin, niacin, folate and biotin which help to sustain healthy hair. This also helps to prevent hair loss. Increase leafy green, fresh vegetables and whole grains into your diet as they are good sources of Vitamin B.
Eat omega 3 fatty acids
Eat more fatty fish like salmon, trout and herring as they have ample amounts of omega 3 fatty acids. Vegetarians can eat omega 3 fatty acid rich foods like walnut, avocados and pumpkin seeds. They will prevent excess hair oil and will also lead to the growth of new hair follicles.
Stop over-plucking your eyebrows
Plucking your eyebrows is important to get that fresh and well-maintained look, but over plucking will do you more harm than good. Pluck your eyebrows only when it is necessary; do not make it a routine to pluck your eyebrows every alternate day. Do it when you think is necessary.
Milk is a way to go
Milk is quite helpful in preventing the loss of eyebrow hairs and also for re-growth of the hairs. Take some raw milk and soak a cotton ball in it. Now apply the milk from this cotton ball onto your eyebrows. Continue dabbing your eyebrows with the milk for 5 minutes and then leave it on till it gets dry. Wash off with plain water. Do this daily and you will definitely notice a difference.
Use peppermint essential oil
Peppermint has the power to stimulate hair growth within weeks of use. This oil contains menthol, which can increase the blood circulation and stimulate hair growth. So you can use few drops of it with your favourite carrier oil and use cotton to dab this mixture onto your brows. Leave it for 10 min and then wash it off.
Sulfur is your friend
Sulfur is rich in amino acid L-Methionine, helps to increase hair health. Foods containing high levels of sulfur, such as Brazil nuts, soybeans, lean meats, fish, eggs, sesame seeds, leafy green veggies, etc. should be added in your diet to notice the difference.
Moisturize your eyebrow hairs twice every day
Moisturizing daily is a good practice for well-nourished brow hair. You do not need to go for anything that is chemical laden. Instead, take 1-2 drops of pure coconut oil onto your fingertips and massage it into your eyebrow to ensure that the hair shafts get enough protein and stay supple and strong for a longer time.
Use wonder oil
Castor oil is truly a wonder oil. You can gently massage castor oil for 2-3 minutes on each eyebrow and leave it for some time. Wash them after 30 minutes with lukewarm water and a gentle facial cleanser. Repeat the process once a day for regrowth of hair.
Massage your brow area
Massages stimulate the circulation, thus the hair growth too. You can use oils like coconut, castor or olive oil to massage. Massaging will help the oils penetrate deeper and faster into the hair follicles, pores and hairs themselves. You can do it every day. Night time is the best because the oils have time to work their magic while you rest.
Mind what you eat
Change your diet to stop your eyebrow hairs from falling out. Stay away from sugary foods such as pastries which can raise your blood sugar and cause hair loss. Instead, eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. Also, drink loads of water to stay hydrated throughout the day.
