Skin Tone: Light to Medium with warm undertones

Hi everyone,

ColourPop recently released the matte version of their famous Lux lipsticks. Lux lipsticks are supposed to have a luxurious, comfortable, matte formula with line blurring technology and beautiful rose gold metal packaging. I have previously reviewed these lipsticks from this range – Check Please and Mind Trick. Let’s see how the shade “Paparazzi” fared for me.

My Experience with ColourPop Lux Matte Lipstick Paparazzi:

Packaging: The packaging of the ColourPop Lux lipstick is luxurious. The lipstick comes in a beautiful metal rose gold packaging with little gold stars all over it. The lipstick tube has a little weight to it. The bottom of the tube shows the shade name “Paparazzi.” Previous Lux lipsticks had colour-coordinated stickers which helped me to identify the lipstick shade when I stored the lipsticks on my vanity. However, this lipstick didn’t come with colour-coordinated sticker, which is a major bummer. The lipstick comes in a white cardboard outer packaging with ingredients list mentioned. The bullet of the lipstick also has stars embossed on it. Overall, the packaging is very luxurious, sturdy and travel friendly.

Shade and Finish: “Paparazzi” is described as a “warm rose” color and it is a very beautiful medium-toned pink shade. This shade is a perfect everyday shade. This color will suit all skin tones. Paparazzi is very comfortable to wear. The finish is very matte and it glides on my lips easily. There is no tug or pull with this lipstick.

Texture and Application: The texture of this lipstick is matte. The texture is very similar to their matte x version of lippie stix. The lipstick has got intense pigmentation. The lipstick feels very lightweight on the lips. It is infused with grape seed, jojoba and pomegranate seed butters. It gives a lot of nourishment to my dry lips. The lipstick is very easy to apply. I use a lip liner and then fill in the lipstick with the help of a lip brush. The lipstick claims to have soft blurring technology, however, I don’t feel that it blurs the lines on my lips. The lipstick gives plumped up, fuller look appearance to my lips. The lipstick has a faint vanilla scent to it which is not overpowering.

Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and the lipstick glides on smoothly. My lips get fully covered in one to two swipes.

Staying Power: The staying power is really good with lipstick. It stays on my lips for 4 to 5 hours; however, it will start to fade easily if you eat meals or drink water.

Overall, I am really happy with this lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with a makeup remover.

Pros of ColourPop Lux Matte Lipstick Paparazzi:
